A First Look
Looking at a sample project reveals a glimpse of the power of Blaze 3D Studio.

On starting Blaze 3D Studio, you will see the Standby Screen.

Blaze 3D Studio Standby Screen

In the right-hand section of the Standby Screen is a list of sample projects. Click on 'Flip Phone'.

To proceed you must have an activation key

The Flip Phone project file will open. This section of the Studio is divided into two sections. On the right is the preview window, where the Flip Phone project will now be playing. It is a simple interactive product visualization. Use the mouse to drag the phone or control the buttons.

Flip Phone Project

On the left side of the window is a tabbed panel. The first tab - Project - will be selected. Here, all the files used by the project are displayed. For this project there are just two swfs. The first, flipphone.swf, was created by Flash. The second, samsung_e720.swf, was created by Blaze 3D Studio.

Below this list is a box named Launch swf. This determines which of the swfs associated with the project should be run first. flipphone.swf should be selected.

In the box containing the list of associated files is a column called Source File. If the file which created a swf is known, then it is shown here. Opposite flipphone.swf is the Flash file flipphone.fla. If you have the Flash authoring application installed on your machine then you can click on flipphone.fla to edit that file and change the appearance of the control buttons, the load progress circle, the position in which the phone appears or the way it responds to your mouse movements. It is a standard Flash file, with all the flexibility which that implies.

Opposite samsung_e720.swf is the Blaze file samsung_e720.bla. You certainly do have the Blaze authoring application installed because you are using it right now. You can click on samsung_e720.bla to edit that file and change the reflectivity or color of the phone surfaces, the picture displayed on the phone or the lights that reflect on the phone surfaces.

Select the tab called HTML. Click on Create HTML at the bottom of the panel. After a short wait a browser window will launch and the project appear.
